Tech Showcase

Brock Meet & Tweet with +Christian Leguerrier and +Jackelyn Chung!

Friday morning I had the opportunity to present at the 2013 Brock University Teaching with Technology Showcase.  This was a fantastic experience where we were able to share our skills with others on how to incorporate 21st century teaching tools into the classroom.  Twitter is a vastly growing social media networking site, and students of all ages are becoming familiar with the tool.  What better way to practice language arts skills then to incorporate Twitter into the classroom.  Students from around the world can collaborate, share, and discuss various educational activities with one another through Twitter.  The 140 character limit allows students to practice their summarizing skills as well as grammar, word choice, and inferring skills.  Twitter is engaging for students as it is familiar yet new in the classroom.  This teaching tool is bound to impress!
